Southport UK-based Veteran cruise speaker Gordon B. Parr, former cruise agency owner, conducts individual training for prospective internationally based public speakers wishing to obtain assignments on worldwide cruises.
Prospective speakers are taught the cruise industry responsibilities, demeanour, presentation techniques and advisory insights, in presenting Enrichment and Destination talks.
Tuition is by email, phone and if available Skype, in preparing a comprehensive biography, outlining appropriate skill-sets, to be able to give presentations to audiences of different backgrounds. Prospective speakers must document six talks under one theme, with summaries of each. Prospects will be assisted in producing a short YouTube Video to illustrate their speaking comfort and expertise.
The cruise industry has a very strong ongoing demand for those with experiences of Archaeology, Army, Air Force, Astronomy, Aviation, Crime, Entertainment, Environment, Exploration, Film, Horticulture, Law, Royal & Merchant Navy, History, Motoring, Newspapers, Pirates, Poetry, Police, Publishing, Royalty, Science, Scotland Yard, Stage, Toastmaster, and Raconteur and other topics which entertain and inform.
Upon certification the speaker will be introduced to Vancouver - based Cruise Speakers Association for possible inclusion in the association. No guarantees are made that the speaker will obtain a booking – that is up to the presentation skills, and topics of the individual. There are modest fees.
